You Are Enough™ is Coming to the UK: Supporting Parents Affected by Child Sexual Abuse

We’re extremely proud to announce that Protect Children is working in partnership with Embrace Child Victims of Crime (Embrace CVoC) to bring our You Are Enough™ Peer Support Groups to the United Kingdom. This is a significant step in our mission to ensure that parents and caregivers of children affected by sexual abuse receive the support they need and deserve.

You Are Enough™ groups are online peer support groups designed to help parents and caregivers whose children have experienced sexual violence.

💟 Why Parents Need Support Too

When a child experiences sexual violence, the entire family is affected. Parents often carry intense emotional burdens and deep uncertainty about how to support their child and themselves. Too often, they’re left to navigate this unimaginable crisis alone.

That’s where You Are Enough™ comes in. Developed by our experienced team at Protect Children, You Are Enough™ is a manualised, trauma-informed peer support model that creates safe spaces for parents to connect and heal together.

Each group meets regularly over a series of online sessions and is led by trained facilitators. The sessions follow a structured programme, offering emotional guidance and practical tools grounded in trauma-informed care.

A parent attending a You Are Enough™ group expressed:

“It has been extremely relieving to talk with other parents who have experienced the same thing, and it has somehow also helped with my own difficult emotions and dealing with the situation.”

🌍 Expanding to Support Families in the UK

Thanks to our partnership with Embrace CVoC, You Are Enough™ will soon be available to families in the UK for the first time. Embrace CVoC brings extensive experience in supporting young victims of crime and their families, and together, we aim to offer a safe, empowering space where parents in the UK can begin their journey toward healing. Read more in the press release by Embrace CVoC.
