
Project Lens is an initiative led by Protect Children in collaboration with the University of Eastern Finland, which aims to understand and prevent emerging forms of image-based sexual violence against children focusing on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Project Lens will build a robust knowledge base to inform and implement a comprehensive, system-wide response to existing and emerging forms of image-based sexual violence against children.

Generating a detailed analysis of global trends, victimisation risks, and long-term impacts of image-based sexual violence against children

Examining and addressing the specific needs of families affected by image-based sexual violence against children

Equipping law enforcement agencies and professionals working with child victims to identify and address image-based sexual violence against children
Project Lens is funded by Safe Online.

The project is led by Protect Children, with the University of Eastern Finland as partner.


The project has Child's Rights Defenders League (Kyrgyzstan), Istiqbolli Avlod (Uzbekistan), Tashabbusi Huquqi (Tajikistan), Union of Crisis Centers (Kazakhstan) and Women Lawyers (Tajikistan) as local partners.
