Image-based child sexual violence can cause lasting harm to victims and survivors, yet the evidence on this rapidly evolving global threat remains limited. We still know too little about the many forms this violence takes, its long-term effects on those who experience it, and what works to prevent and respond to it.

In this Through the Lens webinar, Protect Children will present new findings from a multi-perspective study on image-based child sexual violence, bringing together the voices of victims and survivors, parents, and the professionals working to address these crimes.

ONLINE WEBINAR

New Insights into Image-Based Child Sexual Violence:

Through the Lens of Survivors, Parents, and Professionals

📅 Date: 1 December 2026

⏰ Time: 15:00 - 16:30 EET

The webinar will cover new insights from:

  • 🍃 Victims and survivors: the diverse forms and long-term impacts of image-based child sexual violence, as reported by adult victims and survivors in a global survey.

  • 👪 Parents: families’ experiences after their child was subjected to image-based sexual violence, gathered through trauma-informed interviews with parents in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

  • 👮‍♀️ Professionals: the challenges and good practices of those working to address image-based child sexual violence, drawn from focus group interviews.

Together, the findings show that image-based child sexual violence must be addressed holistically, taking into account the needs and perspectives of victims and survivors, their families, and professionals.
