Violent online communities ("The Com"; e.g. 764) have had indications of activity in several countries, including Finland and other Nordic countries. These online communities specifically target vulnerable children and young people with violence on online platforms popular with them.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have created a guide for identifying the activities of violent online communities and promoting the safety of children and young people online. Protect Children has translated and adapted the guide into Finnish and Swedish.
