NEWS
We are proud to announce that Protect Children is partnering with the Empowering Children Foundation to bring the ReDirection program to Poland. This is a significant milestone in our mission to prevent child sexual abuse by providing anonymous, accessible support to individuals who are seeking help to stop harmful and illegal behaviour.
About the ReDirection Program
ReDirection is an anonymous online self-help program designed for individuals struggling with problematic sexual thoughts or behaviours involving children, particularly the use of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It offers evidence-based exercises and psychotherapeutic guidance to support users in understanding the underlying motivations to their behaviour and thus more effectively changing it.
The program is free, confidential, and available in multiple languages. Preliminary findings from scientific evaluations of the program indicate that it is very effective at changing behaviour and reducing CSAM use. Given the prevalence of and ease-of-access to CSAM, offenders can view more children than ever before. By changing the behaviour of just one person, we can help to keep hundreds of children safe.
Why Expanding to Poland Matters
Scaling ReDirection across countries ensures that more individuals can access support before harm occurs. In Poland, as elsewhere, there is a clear need for early, preventive interventions that reduce risks to children while empowering individuals to take responsibility for their actions. Through this new partnership, ReDirection is now available in Polish, ensuring cultural and linguistic accessibility for those who need it most.
About the Empowering Children Foundation
We are proud to partner with the Empowering Children Foundation to bring the ReDirection program into Poland. The Empowering Children Foundation is the largest non-governmental organization in Poland that, since 1991, has been continuously working to protect and support children who have experienced violence and sexual abuse. The Foundation provides children and their caregivers with preventive programs, as well as professional psychological and legal assistance and supports and engages parents in raising children with love and respect.
