Communication from Protect Children Regarding the Urgency in Removing CSAM From the Internet

STATEMENT


Protect Children has conducted unprecedented, groundbreaking, and vital research on individuals who search for and view child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the internet.




Our research article, titled: “Risk Factors for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) Users Contacting Children Online: Results from an Anonymous Multilingual Survey on the Dark Web” was published on March 1st in the Stanford Internet Observatory’s Journal of Online Trust & Safety. This research article provides the much-needed scientific basis for the urgent need to locate and remove child sexual abuse material from the internet at a significantly faster rate.
