There is a Child in Every Image: Protect Children Has Analysed Over 2 Million Child Sexual Abuse Material Images to End the Cycle of Abuse

Updated: Sep 23

STATEMENT

In our ongoing fight against child sexual abuse, Protect Children is dedicated to eradicating child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Our commitment to this mission is reflected in our extensive efforts to analyse over 2 million images of CSAM, contributing to the removal of these images from the internet. By ensuring the removal of this material, we aim to mitigate the impact of these heinous crimes and support the recovery of victims and survivors.

"The work we do is hard, but it’s essential. Every image or video that is removed because of our work is a step towards preventing further abuse and re-victimisation. This work is a heavy burden but knowing that our work makes a difference keeps us going.” - Protect Children image analyst.

“We have a poster on our Project Arachnid working space that reads: “It is impossible until it is done”. We work for every child– one child at a time. Every day at Protect Children is more than a meaningful day. The cycle of abuse ends with us”. - Protect Children image analyst.

Protect Children extends heartfelt gratitude to the Project Arachnid network of CSAM analysts for their vital work and strong dedication to end crimes of sexual violence against children.
