Today, the 2022 Child10 Awarded Members were launched in a digital, live-streamed ceremony. The ten organizations come from all around Europe and have been selected for their work against human trafficking and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation of children. Their work has been acknowledged by H.M. Queen Silvia in a special appearance during the ceremony. As part of the program, they will collaborate on the widespread problem of commercial sexual exploitation of children via digital platforms, to discuss best practices and find durable solutions. One of the awarded organizations is Protect Children.
“Protect Children brings a much-needed offender-focus prevention to the conversation about commercial sexual exploitation and sexual abuse which is instrumental to addressing demand. Their ReDirection research provides critical insights into perpetrators and will be extremely beneficial in designing more effective prevention programs. We are proud to have them as a Child10 Awarded Member for 2022 and excited for this collaboration”, says Jacob Flärdh, Secretary General, Child10. As part of the program, Protect Children will work together with the nine other Awarded Member organizations on the theme “Slipping through the net – Trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children via online platforms”.
