ReDirection Self-Help Program for users of child sexual abuse material

ReDirection is an anonymous rehabilitative self-help program which aims to help you adopt a lifestyle without child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The program will teach you how to take control of your emotions, thoughts and behavior in order to ‘ReDirect’ you away from using CSAM.

 

The ReDirection self-help program is based on cognitive behavioral theory. Programs based on cognitive ​ behavioral theory are proven to be effective at achieving long-lasting behavioral change.

Feedback from users of the ReDirection program

75% of the users of the ReDirection program say that their use of child sexual abuse material has decreased or stopped completely. 58% of users say that they are very confident in their own ability to maintain the results achieved through the program.

Cooperation among stakeholders is essential to effectively fight sexual violence against children, hence the importance of expanding such a program to other countries. By scaling ReDirection across countries it ensures that more individuals can access support before harm occurs.
