Become a You Are Enough™ Facilitator
Parents of child victims of sexual violence need your support. By becoming a trained facilitator, you can help guide and empower these parents, offering them a safe, supportive space where they can heal, connect, and find strength.
You Are Enough™ peer support groups provide an effective, evaluated approach to supporting multiple parents and caregivers at once, while also promoting the healing of their children.
How Can I Facilitate a You Are Enough™ Peer-Support Group?
Facilitating a You Are Enough™ peer-support group involves providing a compassionate, safe space for parents to share their experiences and support each other. As a facilitator, you will guide the group through discussions, share helpful resources, and ensure that the environment remains safe and constructive for all participants.
The training equips you with the skills to manage sensitive topics, navigate emotional responses, and empower parents to heal and rebuild. You will also have access to ongoing support, resources, and a network of other facilitators, ensuring that you can confidently lead these groups and make a meaningful impact on the families you work with.

What are You Are Enough™ peer-support groups?
You Are Enough peer-support groups are designed to help parents whose children have experienced sexual violence. These groups provide a confidential, empathetic environment where parents can connect with others who truly understand their journey.
Facilitated by trained professionals, the group meets remotely for 10 sessions focusing on offering emotional support, practical advice, and the tools needed to navigate this difficult experience. Each group is tailored to meet the specific needs of the parents, addressing different circumstances such as sexual offences by close family members, strangers, or digital environments.

Findings from a Pilot of You Are Enough™ Parental Peer Support Groups in Finland and Ireland.
“Being able to share with a group makes me realise that I am not alone and that I am doing as well as anyone else who is dealing with the aftermath of child sexual abuse.”
-Parent attending a You Are Enough™ group.
Our evaluation highlights the severe negative impact that online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA) has on victims and their families, the child victims' symptoms closely mirroring the parents' own symptoms of trauma.
Findings from the pilot show that parents and caregivers who attended the You Are Enough™ peer support group experienced improved wellbeing. In particular, parents valued the sense of not feeling alone, the valuable information gained about the criminal justice and healing processes, and their understanding of their child’s trauma symptoms, which helped them support their child's recovery.
